What is the CSCS Green Labourers Card?

The CSCS Green Card for labourers was launched in 2014 that allows individuals to work on construction sites in entry-level positions. It is issued as part of the Construction Skills allowing operatives to work on construction sites in lower-level job positions.

Obtaining the Green Labourers card show employers that you have passed the CITB Health and Safety course and shows you have health and safety awareness on site as labourers’ jobs tends to be more physical work.

 


CSCS Green Card Requirements

Step 1 – All applicants who are applying for the Green CSCS card need to have passed the CITB Managers and Professionals Health, Safety and Environment Test.

To pass the CSCS test, you need to take Green CSCS Labourer Card Health and Safety Awareness Training Course. This is the first step in getting your CSCS Green Card.

The CSCS Green Labourer Card Training course is an introduction to safety on a construction site. By the end of the course, you should be able to spot hazards and play your part in making the work environment safer for you and your colleagues.

·       You need to call directly on 0344 99 44 777 and must email your qualifications to cscs@citb.co.uk before you call.

·       From May 2019– CSCS no longer provides a postal application service. So, to apply you need to call CSCS direct on 0344 994 4777.

·       You can also use a company to manage your application.

 

CSCS Green Card Price

Total CSCS cost is £57 including cards cost £36 and the separate CITB Health, safety, and environment test costs £21.

 

How long does it take for the Green Card to arrive?

It takes up to 5 working days for your CSCS Green card to arrive once you have called CSCS and provided them your course certificate.

 

How long is a Green card valid for?

Valid for 5 years.

 

How do I renew my CSCS Green Card?

Once the 5 years had passed you need to apply for the card again and retake the test.
