You need to pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test within the past two years. To pass this test, you must take CSCS Green Labourer Card - 1-day course. This is the first step in gaining the qualification.

The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in Construction Environment Course is an introduction to safety on a construction site. The course will teach you how to spot hazards and make the work environment safer for you and your colleagues.

This is a lifetime qualification that only needs taking once and are accepted when your Labourer Card is up for renewal in 5 years.
